The Visual Assistant Store Manager is responsible for achieving an elevated visual merchandising presentation that results in a highly branded, emotional in-store experience and improves sales results in partnership with all functional teams. The Senior Visual ASM drives results by developing and executing short term action plans and long-term strategies. The Senior Visual ASM partners with and supports the broader Sales Leadership Team, field visual organization and other key stakeholders across the business on visual merchandising presentation, compass planning and execution, merchandising sell down strategies, visual training/capability-building, and overall strategies to optimize the use of real estate to drive profitable sales growth and build brand equity. What you’ll do:
* Gains business insight and creates action plans that improve execution and results.
* Delivers an energetic and omni-channel sales floor experience that builds brand connection, customer engagement, and sales.
* Focuses on building client relationships and community engagement in order to build repeat customers and gain new customer acquisition.
* Partners with SM to support talent development including onboarding, assessment, retention, career development, succession planning and recognition.
* Acts as a mentor to Crew Leads and aids in their development through transparent and candid communication.
* Educates Crew on product information and brand initiatives to enhance the customer experience, ultimately driving sales.
* Builds an environment that fosters open and respectful communication with Crew and headquarters partners and solicits feedback to continually improve the store experience.
* Supports SM to attract, recruit and hire highly qualified associates to drive sales and support division of responsibility.
* Evaluates store operations for opportunities to enhance efficiency, productivity and profitability.
* Supports store merchandising to reflect current compass, brand initiatives and local customer needs.
DOR Overview: In addition to your role responsibilities, you will be asked to take on a Division of Responsibility (DOR). DORs are a set of distinct responsibilities that are assigned to leaders within the store to ensure clarity around execution of work and support development and growth. DORs are not a title or position but opportunities for individuals to progress within their role. *Note – DORs will rotate, so that managers are proficient in all areas.
In the Visual Merchandising DOR, you will strategically and purposefully merchandise our collections in a way that drives profitable sales growth while transporting the customer to an “EDSFTG” state of mind. Using reporting and business acumen alongside your compass document, you’ll have the opportunity and responsibility to make merchandising decisions that are best suited for your customer and promote ease of shopping. We’re entrusting you to create an atmosphere where visual training, product knowledge and driving results come together to create an elite experience for our internal and external customers.
DOR Responsibilities:
* Leads and supports planning and execution of compass floor set in partnership with visual merchandising team and home office team.
* Proactively identifies and communicates merchandise flow and visual presentation challenges with recommended solutions.
* Evaluates daily sales performance and under/over performing categories and develops an execution plan to support merchandising and sell-through strategies.
* Develops, maintains and updates floor plan and fixture block, in partnership with Harbor Drive Department Managers.
* Articulates all shifts/changes in presentation strategy to Store Leadership Team and reinforces execution from them.
* Builds visual merchandising and presentation capabilities with total store team through onboarding, coaching and dedicated workshops and training events.
* Passionate about idea sharing and posts overview photos of the completed visual initiatives.
* Shares merchandising strategies with all levels of management to develop a well-rounded leadership team.
* Aligns with operations manager on upcoming transfers/markdowns/in-transit product to prepare for floor placement and potential fixture moves.
* Feels comfortable leading an in-store or virtual walkthrough with all levels of leadership.
* Understands the opportunities and constraints of the store and uses this knowledge to elevate visual presentation by interpreting compass standards to store-specific needs and architecture.
* Directs window installations, interior displays, product/fixture placement and lighting.

* Investment in the team’s understanding of visual standards and product knowledge using company tools.
* Use reporting to measure the impact of merchandising moves.
* Consistent photo and idea sharing to show engagement and results.
* Update sales floor with provided visual direction, within the prescribed time frame.
* Submit and update store maps with every compass set and major fixture move.

Qualifications:
* Microsoft Office knowledge, Google Suite & Virtual Video Platforms.
* Superior visual merchandising and presentation skill set; portfolio preferred.
* Knowledge of industry competitive landscape and seasonal trends.
* Proven ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
* Demonstrates business acumen with strong strategic and analytical skills.
* Proven ability to influence key partners.
* Proven ability to conduct effective store walk-throughs with executive leadership.
