Job overview
An opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join our busy Facilities Team at Rampton Hospital working as a Facilities Assistant primarily in our Transport Department but also within our Retail and Housekeeping Departments.
Working a shift pattern of four nights on and four nights off between the hours of 20:30 and 05:30.
Previous experience of working in a Hospital environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
All applicants must be over 21 years of age and have held a full British Driving Licence for a minimum of 12 months, allowing you to drive in the UK with 6 points or less on your licence which will be subject to a DVLA check. All applicants will be expected to successfully undertake a Group 2 Medical which will be arranged by the Trust.
There is an expectation if Category C1 & D1 Entitlement are not held applicants must be willing to undertake relevant training to achieve this licence category.
Main duties of the job
Supporting the Transport Department in the transportation of patients and staff to various other destinations away from the Rampton Hospital site.
Supporting the Retail and Housekeeping teams and assisting with a variety of tasks which may include the provision of patients shopping, stock control, and cleaning various areas around the hospital site.
Driving duties would take priority.

To drive any vehicle in the fleet in connection with the conveyance of patients and staff in immediate response to emergency requirements.
General non-essential cleaning in non-ward areas.
Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled worker visa.
Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.
