Metroline Manchester is a recently formed subsidiary of ComfortDelGro, in March 2024 we were awarded contracts to operate four franchises and join the Bee Network in Greater Manchester by Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA). Metroline was formed in 1989, fourth largest bus operator in London running about 17 percent of the city’s scheduled bus services and has been a part of the largest private land transport company Comfort Del Gro since 2000. Job Summary
The Contract Co-Ordinator will assist the Financial & Commercial Director and the Commercial Manager with the documentation and tracking of commercial contracts agreed with our key client, Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM). Capturing the underlying supporting agreements and ensuring these are implemented, paid and closed down in a controlled and timely manner. This is a change management role required to ensure all changes to our franchise agreement are documented, followed to completion and cash settled.
This role will engage with the business in ensuring that the day-to-day running of the business is correctly managed in line with our contracted obligations and that everyone understands how they can play their part in delivering our collective objectives with the client.
Responsibilities
* Attending the weekly commercial meetings with TfGM, taking minutes, documenting actions and progress, and ensuring all records are filed.
* Completing change control documentation required by the client for review by the Commercial manager.
* Be the subject matter expert on the requirements of all contracts and agreements and advise as to how to ensure that the business is delivering effectively and protected.
* Maintaining, updating, and improving contractual records.
* Implement processes to ensure contract governance, flag any risks to compliance and ensure corrective action as required.
* Monitor the implementation and performance of contracts.

Essential Criteria
* Sound commercial and financial awareness.
* Extensive knowledge of and experience in managing complex contracts in a transport or service environment.
* Experience of negotiating and building complicated contractual frameworks, including legal matters, with at least substantial experience within this environment.
* Implementation, management and development of governance and reporting processes.
Hours of Work
Full time 38 hours per week – permanent contract
Flexibility required for hours/days worked (including weekends) in line with
operational requirements.
