We are inviting applications for an opportunity to join the Practice as a Part-Time Legal Secretary based at our office in the centre of Derby.
In this part-time role, you will be supporting our Dispute Resolutions department with general office / administrative duties, including audio and copy typing using the ‘BigHand’ digital dictation system.
You will need:
1. Audio typing skills, ideally but not necessarily gained in a legal environment
2. An organised, systematic approach
3. The ability to work well under pressure, either alone or as part of a team
4. Well-developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface with clients in person and/or by telephone
5. Experience using MS Word together with well-developed English language skills (essential) as you will be producing large numbers of highly detailed legal documents and case file notes.
