We are seeking an experienced Oil Products Operator, with current work based commercial operations experience within the Oil Products trading sector.
The successful candidate will have work-based experience in Gasoline, Fuel Oil, Biofuels or other Oil products cargo/trading operations.
You will be joining a growing business and work alongside a large team of experienced Oil Products operators.
The successful candidate will be driven, proactive, with a huge appetite to succeed and is willing and able to improve existing processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE: Co-ordinating operations from trade inception to completion (Products traded include Biofuel, Gasoline, Fuel oil, Middle Distillate, Jet and LPG) Able to execute blend plans provided by trading team and liaise with a 3rd party storage terminal operating both cargoes and barges.
Obtain clean acceptance of vessels in a timely manner.
Issue voyage orders to shipping/counterparties and monitor progress of vessel, informing trading of any slippage or speed-ups in a timely manner.
Appoint approved inspectors as required.
Ensure cargo loading and discharging adhere to any credit or L/C requirements.
Accurately update Trading systems in a timely fashion.
Check all calculations relating to the trade (freight & freight diff, interim port calculations, demurrage, inspectors, cargo superintendents, gains/losses, insurance and additives).
Minimize profit leakage.
Make or assist in claims where necessary.
Establishing and maintaining good and professional working relationships with internal and external counterparties.
Maintain accurate records of each cargo including prompt and accurate filing.
Maintain excellent HSE standards.
Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with all operational processes.
Assist the operations team to provide timely accurate information for Month & Quarter end reporting.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
Commercial Experience: existing oil products operations experience is essential.
