* Review the impact of problems, issues and solutions thatimpact across platforms, systems, assemblies, and units to ensurethat there is no unforeseen impact between or across remedialsolutions and other systems on the platform orunit
Lead, coach and mentor teams, ensure that theyunderstand the systems and protocols associated with the work andtask, ensure that their work is reviewed andapproved Ensure work of the team meets quality, cost, andschedule requirements. Complete and report status against own andteam’s workload Analyse problems related to platform and support systemissues generate proposed solutions that impact on operation,efficiency and performance improvement Review solutions including all documentation andapproved data and either approve solution (where approval is withinown limits of authority) or submit and sponsor approval from higherlevel authority
Your skills andexperiences:
Essential:
* CMI L5 / HNC / HND or equivalentexperience
Demonstrated experience in Metrology, Calibration, orother related field Experience with apprenticeship standards, developing andcoaching new starters Ability to apply depth of expertise relating toengineering systems in order to resolve the most complexchallenges, issues and faults associated with installation,commissioning, operation, and performance ofsystems Experience in establishing and maintaining directcontact and interface with the customer and management and deliveryof projects

TheInstrumentation Calibration Services (ICS)team: You will be working with a teamthat is responsible for thecalibration, maintenance, managed collection, storage and deliveryof test and production equipment on the Barrow site. As a PrincipalEngineer, you will research problems and issues, gather informationfrom a range of physical and informational sources, review defectson platform or assembly to gain a complete understanding of theproblem and all relevant circumstances.
