A Day in the Life As Chief of Staff, you will be at the heart of strategic execution, ensuring that the CEO’s priorities move forward effectively. Your daily responsibilities will include: Strategic Communications & Presentations Create and evolve high-quality presentations and materials for a broad range of audiences, including pharma executives, government officials, and venture capital investors. Develop high-impact Board materials, ensuring clarity and strategic alignment. CEO Briefings & Stakeholder Engagement Provide comprehensive briefings to the CEO ahead of key meetings. Brainstorm approaches with the CEO to maximise the effectiveness of high-level interactions. Support the CEO in navigating complex discussions and negotiations. Execution & Accountability Anticipate upcoming priorities, ensuring timely preparation for meetings, events, and presentations. Ensure effective follow-up on action items, holding stakeholders accountable for execution. Cross-Functional Collaboration Support the close working relationship between the CEO and the President, assisting in the implementation of joint decisions. This role requires a high degree of autonomy, strategic thinking, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. Who You Are We are looking for someone with: A Strategic & Analytical Mindset – You can quickly grasp and communicate the scientific and business principles behind genomics and drug discovery, as well as personalised medicine—spanning prevention, screening, treatment, and therapeutic development. Proactive & Action-Oriented – You anticipate needs, take ownership of tasks, and ensure execution. You don’t just respond to challenges—you solve them before they arise. An Exceptional Communicator – You have outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distil complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives. A Master of Presentation & Influence – You excel at developing persuasive, high-quality materials for senior audiences, including Board members and investors. Problem-Solving & Decision-Making Skills – You can think from the CEO’s perspective while offering independent viewpoints when needed. A Hands-On Approach – You’re adaptable, resilient, and willing to roll up your sleeves to get things done in a fast-moving, high-impact environment. Your Background (Desirable ) Scientific & Business Knowledge A background in medical, life sciences, or statistical disciplines, preferably gained in a health tech or life sciences environment. Fast-Paced Industry Experience Experience working in a high-pressure, fast-moving environment, such as a scale-up, consultancy, or investment bank. So what's in it for you?
