Permanent contract, part time
Are you committed to working with and supporting young people aged 16-25 and those that are care experienced? Do you have resilience, creativity and the personal qualities to coach our young people into developing life skills to manage independently?
We work in partnership with Teignbridge District Council, supporting young people aged 16-25, who may have experienced multiple disadvantages as they transition into independence.
This role gives you the opportunity to engage and work alongside young people aged 16-25 years and support them to maintain or access accommodation. You will need to build relationships of trust and understanding, whilst responding to a young person’s needs through a trauma informed lens. You will support them to make decisions, have their voice heard and obtain the services they need. We want to support young people to achieve their housing aspirations.
Knowledge on housing protocols, legislation and housing options would be
an advantage. However, training will be given for this specialised post.
If you think you have what it takes, especially if you have experience of working in housing or with care experienced young people, then we would love to hear from you.
