Highly motivated individual required to join Bolsover District Council’s busy Revenues & Benefits Team.

We are looking to fill the post of Recovery Officer. The successful candidate will undertake within a team environment, a multi-functional range of duties relating to the recovery of debts owed to the Authority.
To be successful you will need:
1. demonstrable working knowledge of the Local Government Finance Act 1992,
2. knowledge of the Data Protection Act and Freedom of Information Act,
3. recent proven practical experience of working within a Revenues department of a local authority or similar environment,
4. proven practical experience of dealing with members of the public,
5. computer literacy use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, Outlook,
6. the ability to organise tasks and duties effectively,
7. the ability to work on own initiative, displaying tact and discretion at all times,
8. the ability to work efficiently and effectively, both as a member of a team and independently,
9. the ability to analyse situations and make decisions,
10. good communication skills to explain complex issues,
11. the ability to demonstrate strong customer focus and a commitment to service improvements.
