At the Hawkhead centre, we provide innovative services to veterans who have various degrees of Sight Loss.
This job exists to support the Deputy Centre Manager/Senior and Chef to provide a safe working environment and plan a varied and nutritious diet for veterans who attend.
What does a day in this role look like?
1. Assist in the preparation of high-quality food as directed by the chef.
2. Assist with meal service.
3. Assist with clearing and washing up.
4. Maintain a clean, safe working environment as directed by the Centre Manager/Senior and by working to cleaning schedules.
5. Ensure Food Hygiene and Health & Safety recommendations are complied with.
6. Advise of any concerns in relation to Food Hygiene and Health & Safety.
7. Advise the Chef/Senior/Deputy Centre Manager of any malfunction of equipment or fittings that require maintenance or cannot be kept to standard through normal cleaning procedures.
