This is an excellent opportunity to further your career in a higher education setting and would be suitable for those wishing to move from a clinical setting into higher education. Whilst HE teaching is not essential you must have experience of formal teaching, training and supervising students, and be able to contribute to our undergraduate and postgraduate courses including our distance learning provision and apprenticeships. You must have well developed and current knowledge and understanding of critical, practical and theoretical issues relevant to contemporary physiotherapy. We ideally seek to employ a candidate who is at the forefront of new ways of working within the NHS in either primary or secondary settings demonstrating care innovation and emerging management pathways. It is desirable you will have experience in non-traditional physiotherapy roles such as admission prevention, discharge to assess roles, integrated services or rehabilitation in the community. The Team We are a team of 30 physiotherapists from diverse clinical backgrounds and specialities delivering education across the pre and post registration programme to over 800 students.As a team we are committed to high quality teaching and learning for all of our students using specialist teaching rooms, technology and simulation. We work creatively and flexibly to meet the evolving needs of service and workforce requirements. Our education portfolio includes the BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, BSc Physiotherapy Degree Apprenticeship, Pre-reg MSc in Physiotherapy and MSc in Specialist Physiotherapy Practice and MSc Advanced Clinical Practice Musculoskeletal. Integral to our approach in the Department of Allied Health Professions and Life Sciences is contribution to cross Department and College teaching including integrated curriculum provision. The successful candidate will be primarily involved in pre-registration education in the above courses that incorporates interprofessional working and delivery to students across the College in AHP and Nursing.
