We are seeking to appoint an inspirational Trainee Teacher of Chemistry. This is a one-year training position starting in August 2025. You must be committed to training as an active and innovative teacher and be passionate about Chemistry. The course pathway leads to the award of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Alongside your training, you will work as a teacher on a reduced timetable four days per week in a well-resourced Science department that provides an exciting environment in which to deliver your skills as a teacher. You will be allocated a mentor for your training year; this will be an experienced subject specialist, and you will have 1.5 hours of protected time per week to support your development.
This is a fixed-term role for one year (the length of time of your training course). The salary will be paid at the Unqualified Teachers’ Pay Scale Point 1, £27,252, inclusive of Inner London Weighting.
