The opportunity:
EY Finance Operations is a fast-growing managed service team within EY, providing bookkeeping, management accounts, corporate tax, VAT, and statutory accounting services for a diverse range of clients.
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant for a Senior Manager role within EY's Finance Operations Services division. This role focuses on delivering expert financial operations support and guidance to a portfolio of clients, ensuring high-quality service and satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
1. Serve as a key point of contact and relationship manager for a portfolio of clients, understanding their financial needs and objectives within EY's Finance Operations Services.
2. Lead and manage a team responsible for finance operations services, including accounts payable, receivable, financial reporting, and budgeting.
3. Develop and implement tailored financial strategies aligned with each client's needs, adhering to industry standards and EY methodologies.
4. Monitor and analyze the financial performance of client portfolios, providing insights and recommendations to optimize processes, increase efficiencies, and mitigate risks.
5. Collaborate with our go-to-market team to create pitches for new work, shape commercial strategies, and build internal networks to explain our services to stakeholders and potential clients.
6. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and EY policies while maintaining accurate, timely financial reporting.
7. Work closely with clients to understand challenges and proactively identify opportunities for improvement and value addition.
8. Mentor, coach, and advise team members, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and professional development.
Requirements:
1. Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
2. Extensive experience in finance operations or accounting roles within a professional services firm.
3. Deep knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance.
4. Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills.
5. Proficiency with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., MS Dynamics, SAP, Oracle).
6. Analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
7. Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, managing multiple client accounts and meeting deadlines.
