Job Purpose:
As a Technical Sales Consultant, you will work extensively with internal technical team members (both in the UK and US), to scope high impact, high value solutions to match or exceed client requirements. This role requires a collaborative, team player approach, combined with the desire to work in a results-oriented environment, and a capability to develop and deploy exceptional sales and account management skills. The role will be based at the Lucideon facility in Stone, Staffordshire, and may require periodic travel to client sites or other locations as deemed required by the company.

Key Responsibilities:
* Achieve and exceed team and personal Order Intake targets set by the business through targeted growth of existing accounts and development of new accounts.
* Work with clients to clarify and define requirements to develop written quotations and proposals in line with their needs.
* Make initial contact with newly identified leads generated by marketing activities such as webinars and white paper downloads from our website.
* Use a combination of technical consulting and transformational selling processes to build client relationships, and to gain insights on needs and opportunities.
* Develop and maintain key customer accounts.
* Prepare formal quotations and PMF calculations as necessary, including project scoping tools and meetings.
* Collaborate with our technical teams in the UK and US to leverage a portfolio of technology offerings, material science consultancy services and analytical based solutions offered by the Lucideon Group.
Key Person Requirements:
* Qualifications or experience in STEM related technical subject(s), or Chemistry focussed.
* Previous experience in a laboratory or technical environment would be desirable.
* Previous experience of client engagement, whether in a sales environment or in support of client requirements is desirable.

* Ability to adopt a transformational selling process and build relationships with customers.
* Ability to work in a ‘one team’ manner to resolve any challenges both internally and externally.
* Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, at all levels of seniority.
* Excellent organisation skills with the proven ability to prioritise workload.
* Sound commercial sense with an appreciation of costs, pricing and margins.
* Proficient with various Microsoft Office applications.
* Inquisitive, quick-thinking, and skilled at networking, enabling entry and value generation with prospects who have not dealt with Lucideon before.
