Contracts Manager - Main Contractor - SE London
Your new company
A well-established local SME seeks an experienced contracts manager to join their successful team. With works across Central and greater London (south), they have a strong client list and order book, typically carrying out refurbishment-oriented schemes for local authorities, schools, offices, and other private commercial clients. Projects are typically in the £500k - £3mill range with around 10 projects on site currently. As part of a planned expansion, they now seek an additional contracts manager to join the busy team of 5. Offering purpose-built offices, very close to London but commutable by car or public transport, they are well-placed to service the greater London area. This, combined with a high retention rate, places on several high-value frameworks, and a strong pipeline of current and secured works makes this an attractive option for an experienced CM looking for a career move.
Your new role
As Contracts Manager, you will work closely with the commercial and technical teams to ensure the smooth running of your schemes in regard to programme, cost, and client satisfaction. You will be responsible for all phases of multiple projects from pre-construction and site setup through to delivery and eventual handover. You will be comfortable with all the contractual and technical admin associated with managing multiple schemes and be the main point of contact for the client and all other external stakeholders, reporting to the Construction Director.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced contracts manager with a strong refurbishment or construction background. You will ideally have worked for small to medium contractors and have experience of local authority refurbishment schemes as well as more commercial projects. You will be fully IT literate, hold a construction qualification, and be looking for a permanent role within the greater South London area.
What you'll get in return
A competitive salary and package plus the opportunity to be a key part of a small but highly successful team within an extremely stable workplace.
