Job Title: Regional Clinical Lead Location: Leicestershire, Peterborough, Northamptonshire Job Summary: The Regional Clinical Lead is responsible for the overall clinical leadership and quality of care provided within a group of nursing homes in the designated region. This role requires the development, implementation, and monitoring of clinical standards, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and providing clinical guidance and support to the care teams within each facility. Key Responsibilities: Clinical Leadership and Oversight: Lead, supervise, and support the clinical teams across multiple nursing homes to ensure high standards of care. Promote best practices in clinical care and ensure that evidence-based guidelines are followed. Conduct regular clinical audits and quality assurance reviews. Provide clinical mentorship and training to nursing staff, including registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and nursing assistants. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure nursing homes comply with relevant healthcare regulations, including state/federal laws, and industry standards. Oversee care plans and ensure they are tailored to meet the specific needs of residents. Prepare for and manage inspections and audits from regulatory agencies. Quality Improvement: Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes, safety, and satisfaction. Analyse clinical data to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement. Develop and implement strategies to address clinical performance gaps. Staff Development: Organise and lead regular clinical training and development sessions. Assist in the recruitment, retention, and professional development of clinical staff. Foster a supportive and collaborative working environment among clinical staff. Resident Care and Safety: Ensure that residents receive person-cantered care that respects their dignity, preferences, and health needs. Address any clinical concerns or complaints raised by residents, families, or staff. Oversee the management of complex clinical cases and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with facility managers, healthcare professionals, and families to ensure seamless communication and optimal care delivery. Provide regular reports on clinical performance and areas for improvement to senior management. Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) with active licensure in the state of employment. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical leadership role within the long-term care or nursing home sector. In-depth knowledge of clinical nursing practices, regulations, and compliance standards. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience in quality improvement and clinical audits. Ability to travel between facilities within the region as needed. Desired Skills: Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
