TEAM
The Enterprise Technology function develops and manages platforms and services which support our internal functions such as People (or HR), Finance, Risk, Compliance, Security and Facilities. The People IT Team sits within the Enterprise Technology function and is specifically responsible for the technology supporting acquisition, talent, colleague development, payroll, reward and internal communications.
JOB PURPOSE
easyJet is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Workday Technical Lead to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing technical implementations, integrations, and maintenance of the Workday system across all modules, including HCM, Financial Management, Payroll, and more. This position requires deep technical expertise in Workday, strong agile management capabilities, and the ability to lead a team of technical specialists. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of Workday's architecture, advanced configuration skills, and a passion for leveraging technology to drive business success.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Provide strategic and technical leadership for the implementation, configuration, and optimization of all Workday modules, ensuring alignment with easyJet’s business objectives.
2. Design and oversee the integration of Workday with other enterprise systems, ensuring seamless data flow and process automation.
3. Lead the technical configuration and customization of Workday modules to meet specific business requirements, utilizing advanced tools like Workday Studio and Workday Extend/Prism.
4. Coordinate with stakeholders across various departments, ensuring agile sprints are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
5. Oversee data migration, data integrity, and data security processes within the Workday system.
6. Provide advanced technical support for Workday-related issues, troubleshooting complex problems, and ensuring timely resolution.
7. Identify and implement performance improvements within the Workday system to enhance efficiency and user experience.
8. Ensure all Workday configurations and processes comply with regulatory requirements and organizational policies, maintaining the highest standards of data security and integrity.
9. Manage and mentor a team of Workday technical specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
10. Stay current with Workday updates and new features, driving continuous improvement and innovation within easyJet’s Workday environment.
KEY TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED
1. Deep technical expertise in Workday configuration, implementation, and integration. Proficiency with Workday tools such as Workday Studio, EIB, PECI, Workday Extend, and Prism.
2. Demonstrable experience working with Workday, including extensive experience with multiple Workday modules and at least 3 years in a technical lead or supervisory role.
3. Strong project management skills, with experience using methodologies and tools like Agile, Scrum; PMP certification is a plus.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
5. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative and practical technical solutions.
6. Proven leadership skills, with experience managing and developing a technical team.
7. Advanced Integration Experience: Extensive experience with Workday integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, PICOF, and PECI.
8. Experience with custom development within the Workday environment, including Workday Extend and Prism.
9. Expertise in performance tuning and optimization of Workday processes and reports.
10. Experience in change management and driving the adoption of new systems and processes.
11. Experience working with third-party vendors and managing vendor relationships.
Desirable
1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
2. Advanced Workday certification(s) preferred (e.g., Workday Integration, Workday Studio).
