Our healthcare services work to a 7-day week working model, ensuring our patients' healthcare is managed and maintained to the highest standards at all times.
We are lucky to be able to offer opportunities to undertake your registered nursing degree via our apprenticeship route and can also offer all newly qualified nursing associates a 12-month preceptorship programme.

Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of a Nursing Associate in Central and North West London NHS Trust show how you can help the Trust deliver safe, effective services and provide patients and families with a positive experience:
1. Be accountable for your practice to a registered nurse.
2. Participate in regular supervision with that registered nurse.
3. Supervise, help train, and delegate to other members of the team (e.g., Health Care Assistants).
4. Participate in team meetings and help develop the team.
5. Contribute to creating and maintaining a high-performing team by:
* Communicating well with all members of the team.
* Understanding how your role helps the team achieve its objectives.
* Understanding the roles of different team members and how they help the team achieve its objectives.
* Using supervision and team meetings to reflect on your own practice regularly.
Work to improve safety and the quality of care:
As a Nursing Associate, you will contribute to the provision of safe and high-quality services by:
1. Working to the standards set out in the NMC Code for Nurses, Midwives, and Nursing Associates.
2. Recognising issues relating to safeguarding vulnerable children and adults and reporting any problems or raising concerns to the appropriate registered care professionals.
3. Escalating safety concerns and acting as effective advocates for those who use our services.
4. Maintaining your competences and proficiencies in all the required areas for your role.
5. Maintaining compliance with your mandatory training requirements.
6. Understanding how you are accountable to registered nurses.
7. Identifying areas where improvements in safety or quality can be made and working closely with others to improve services.
8. Being open and transparent.
9. Maintaining accurate, legible, timely, and comprehensive records.
