We are recruiting for an electrical project / contract manager within Marine Engineering. Projects will include electrical refurbishments for all types of vessels. Company: The Aberdeen Office for the Marine and MoD Engineering division of a leading independent, multi-disciplined service provider that employs over 600 people in the UK and overseas with a turnover in excess of £75 million. This division carries out the routine repair, maintenance and re-engineering of rotating electrical drive equipment found on most vessels, to designing and delivering an engine test facility for Royal Navy Type 45 destroyers. The Role: As the Electrical Projects / Contracts Manager, you will have the responsibility for the planning, management and financial control on all assigned projects ensuring all stakeholders are involved, communicated with, ensuring progress is evaluated, changes are implemented, and reports submitted as per the project specific requirements. You will lead and manage a team of Supervisors/Electricians with the responsibility for all operational, financial, customer and employee strategy for the duration of the project(s). Type of work undertaken includes: Full Electrical services refurbishments for vessels Dry dock specialist for all electrical requirements General test and inspection for Lloyds/DNV approval Switchboard checks, maintenance and upgrades Installation works, cables, lights, navigation etc. Control Panel design and manufacture DP system upgrades On board motor and generator maintenance and overhaul Fault diagnostics on full electrical balance of plant Excitation & Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) system design and supply On-board in-situ commutator machining In-situ motor/generator cleaning The Person: Experience with industrial electrical projects including in a marine environment.
