Barts Health is one of the largest NHS trusts in the country, and one of Britain's leading healthcare providers.
The Barts Health group of NHS hospitals is entering an exciting new era on our improvement journey to becoming an outstanding organisation with a world-class clinical reputation. Having lifted ourselves out of special measures, we now have the impetus and breathing space to chart a fresh course in which we are continually striving to improve all our services for patients.
Our vision is to be a high-performing group of NHS hospitals, renowned for excellence and innovation, and providing safe and compassionate care to our patients in east London and beyond. That means being a provider of excellent patient safety, known for delivering consistently high standards of harm-free care and always caring for patients in the right place at the right time. It also means being an outstanding place to work, in which our WeCare values and behaviours are visible to all and guide us in how we work together.
Barts Health supports the Pregnancy Loss Pledge and commits to supporting their staff through the distress of miscarriage.

We are excited to announce Senior Clinical Fellow Posts in Paediatrics at The Royal London Hospital.
The successful candidate will have the following Paediatric Subspecialty choices:
1. Paediatric Gastroenterology
2. General Paediatrics
The posts will be for a period of 6 months with further extension depending upon clinical performance.
The Paediatric Gastroenterology post has arisen due to an HEE vacancy, while the General Paediatric posts are new positions in line with the vision of expanding the General Paediatric team at Royal London Hospital.
Main duties of the job
1. Royal London is one of the busiest paediatric units in the UK. We already have GRID trainees for Paediatric A&E, Paediatric Gastroenterology, Paediatric Respiratory Medicine, Paediatric Allergy Medicine, and Paediatric Endocrinology with SPIN trainees in Paediatric Neurology.
2. A vast amount of paediatric research and academic activity is conducted here, with teams actively participating in numerous clinical trials. Fellows will be encouraged to participate in ongoing trials as part of the post.
3. We have a robust teaching programme and will encourage all paediatric fellows to actively participate in teaching sessions and to deliver teaching.
4. All undergraduates from QMUL (Queen Mary’s University London) are attached to Royal London Hospital, providing ample opportunities to mentor and teach them.
5. All fellows will be assigned a QI project/audit to participate in, along with involvement in Clinical Governance and management meetings.
Work pattern would involve working with the paediatric subspecialty during the daytime. On-calls would involve covering general and specialty paediatrics, including a combination of long days and night shifts. All shifts are EWTD and New Deal contract compliant.
