Medical Summariser and Patient Administration Support
Marsden Medical Group are looking for a temporary medical summariser to join our friendly team due to the practice growing. You will provide a key service within the practice. The postholder will be responsible for the coding of relevant information into new patients' electronic healthcare records on EMIS clinical system from GP2GP transfer and the patient paper medical record.
You will receive in-house training if required.
Main Duties of the Job
The following are the core responsibilities of the Medical Summariser. There will also be the requirement to carry out other tasks, depending on the needs of the PASO team workflow.
1. To be responsible for the coding of relevant information into patients' electronic medical records on EMIS web clinic system via EMIS Web and Paper Medical Record.
2. Reviewing medical records and producing an accurate summary of the patient's medical history.
3. Coding (Snomed) the information into the practice clinical system.
4. To maintain confidentiality at all times, to respect patients' privacy and act appropriately in the performance of the duties outlined in this post.
5. In addition to the primary responsibilities, the Medical Summariser may be requested to support other admin staff providing cover for absences.

All of our clinical staff are supported by a well-established management and admin team comprising over 40 staff of differing roles. Experience
* Working in an office environment

* Worked in GP/Hospital environment
