Are you an experienced project support professional looking to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment? ASA are working with a largescale client in the public sector who is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Support Officer to support within the Change and Digital Innovation unit.
About the Role
As a Project Support Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Civil Lab, working alongside Agile Project Managers, Product Owners, and other key stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include progress tracking, financial reporting, risk and issue management, quality control, and facilitating governance processes.
Key Responsibilities
· Finance Management: Track and maintain financial data, ensuring accuracy, variance analysis, and reporting to stakeholders.
· Project Tracking & Reporting: Monitor delivery progress, draft high-quality reports, and provide insights for effective decision-making.
· Governance & Compliance: Embed the LOAD framework and support governance, audit, and compliance processes.
· Risk & Issue Management: Maintain RAID logs, escalate risks, and facilitate risk workshops.
· Meeting & Event Support: Arrange and facilitate key project events, stakeholder engagements, and audit preparations.
· Collaboration & Communication: Act as a key point of contact for labs, providing guidance on processes and documentation.
What We Are Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience:
· Proven experience in project support, financial tracking, and reporting.
· Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· Knowledge of governance, compliance, and audit processes.
· Proficiency in using reporting tools and project management platforms such as Azure DevOps or Jira/Confluence.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
· Understanding of Digital Scotland Service Standards and Government Digital Services (GDS).
· Experience working in Agile environments.
· Familiarity with the terminology and operations within digital transformation projects.
