Job title: Principal Systems Engineer

Salary: £46,426 – £54,759 (dependent on skills and experience)
What you’ll be doing:
* Production / review of Flight Systems engineering data to meet project requirements in line with agreed standards and procedures, whilst maintaining quality, cost and schedule adherence
* Liaising with other engineering and project areas in a collaborative environment to develop engineering solutions
* Planning, performing and guiding engineering tasks dependent on lifecycle phase which could include requirements development, system and equipment design and development, modelling and analysis, system integration, qualification and certification, and testing
* Producing and/or reviewing specifications, reports and proposals, ensuring technical accuracy and task requirements have been achieved
* Development of new systems through implementation of best practice systems lifecycle processes
* Working with customers to support delivered systems and resolve issues
* Providing guidance and coaching to other team members
Your skills and experiences:
* Degree or equivalent experience or qualification in relevant STEM subject (Aeronautical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering/Physics/Maths/Science)
* Demonstrable knowledge of the system engineering lifecycle with ability to apply good systems engineering practices to your work
* Extensive experience in Mechanical, Electrical or Fluid Systems Engineering, preferably in aerospace, naval, defence or automotive industries
* Ability to apply previous learning and experience to offer guidance, support and leadership to others
* Ability to effectively research system design data and apply to complex problems
