About this role The Head of memberships & playing experiences will have overall responsibility for designing, implementing and selling all the Legends Tour playing experiences to amateur golfers, and act as the ‘product owner’. The second key focus within this role will be to oversee the development and sales of our Legends Tour annual membership the ‘Legends Club’. This will include pricing, new membership sales and renewals, working closely with our marketing team to promote and drive inbound interest to prospect customers. This role reports into the Chief Commercial Officer. Key responsibilities Design and test the format of each playing experience for both sponsors and amateurs, with all depts of Legends Tour Own and set the pricing for annual membership and each amateur playing experience. Including the calculation of the various experiences’ hard costs and profit margins. Create and manage a sales pipeline of prospect customers using Legends Tour CRM tool Outreach to potential amateur members and playing experience customers Work with Legends Tour marketing team to increase awareness and inbound sales enquiries, including events, conferences, PR and paid media spend Oversee the amateur playing experiences sales inbox and respond to inbound sales enquiries Work with the Legends Tour event delivery team to ensure smooth delivery of experiences at each event Renewals of Legends Club members and increase annual membership Work with the Commercial team for amateur playing experience packages as part of wider sponsorship deals Regular reporting on progress and deals Contracts, Terms & Conditions and financial invoicing for memberships and playing experiences Review and co-ordinate feedback from the experiences and memberships, to then amend product design and delivery accordingly Experience Minimum 5 years’ experience in a sales or memberships role, preferably within the golf industry Experience of working in a fast-paced commercial environment Confident proposal and presentation development Outbound lead generation Engaging with high net worth individuals Skills and Qualifications Experience in the golf industry of creating and selling high qualify golf experiences and memberships Understands delivery levels for High net worth customers Facilitate feedback and requirement sessions Good experience of working with CRM management tools Strong communication & interpersonal skills, both internally and externally Marketing knowledge helpful Be a team player who can excel working in a small team with a proactive ‘can do’ attitude Positive mindset and open to learning new skills and systems Self-starter with a keen interest to progress within the sports industry Strong research skills & strong organizational skills, with attention to detail Capable of performing well under pressure Intermediate to advanced level of Microsoft office, advanced PowerPoint skills A willingness to learn and support the wider team Desirable: · Second language an advantage About the Legends Tour We are reinventing the world of over 50s golf, putting some of the best players, Major winners and ex Ryder Cup captains front and centre of the brand – recognisable, historic characters.
