We're seeking a proactive Workforce Project Support Officer to join our People Directorate, working within our workforce planning and transformation programmes, providing key business management, administrative, and programme support across a range of activities.
This post is fixed term for 6 months to provide maternity leave cover, working part-time up to 18 hours per week.
As part of our dynamic team, you'll assist the Head of Workforce Transformation and the wider People Directorate Leadership Team in driving forward key workforce projects and initiatives. From setting up and maintaining project documentation to delivering training and liaising with stakeholders, your role will be instrumental in ensuring the success of our workforce planning and transformation efforts.
You will provide vital support to our major workforce transformation programmes, including our Slough Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC), and the New Hospital Programme for Frimley Park, as well as supporting aspects of our wider People Strategy.

As our Project Support Officer, you'll be the backbone of our workforce planning and transformation initiatives, providing essential support to ensure their smooth operation.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
1. Assisting in planning, coordinating, and delivering projects within agreed timescales.
2. Providing business management and administrative support to directorate teams.
3. Supporting key work streams by providing project coordination and support.
4. Developing project documentation and maintaining project-wide documents such as risk and issue management registers.
5. Conducting intelligence gathering to support report writing and business cases.
6. Communicating project information to diverse audiences through various channels.
7. Building strong working relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally.
8. Organising and facilitating project meetings, workshops, and events.
9. Producing regular performance monitoring reports and updating stakeholders accordingly.
10. Deliver proactive support to the team and complete individual work on projects as required.
The role will require strong planning, organisational, negotiating, and analytical skills to ensure effective coordination of projects and stakeholder engagement, alongside excellent communication abilities and a customer-focused approach.
