Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Services Technician

Rotherham, site-based role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Services Technician to join our team at Advanced Blade Casting Facility (ABCF) in Rotherham.
In this role, you will be responsible for performing diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on our manufacturing assets, machinery and all the associated production equipment located at the production, assembly and test facilities. You will utilise your problem-solving skills and ability to make sound recommendations and coordinate maintenance activities with Production Staff, Production Leaders and Manufacturing Engineers.
What you will be doing:
* Perform installations, diagnostics, repairs and maintenance of various manufacturing assets such as CNC machines, wax injection machines, furnaces, production equipment, automated systems, PLCs and sensors.
* Perform a range of routine, reactive, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance tasks and use precision diagnostics instruments across a range of manufacturing assets and production equipment.
* Consistently perform asset maintenance activities to ensure that equipment and facilities are safe and reliable to high performance standards.
* Safely operate site-specific equipment as required with appropriate training.
* Identify, recommend and implement improvements to production equipment and maintenance procedures. Suggest improvements to work instructions to optimise the electrical installation/maintenance strategy.
Who we are looking for:
* Advanced level engineering apprenticeship in a multi-skilled or electrical/electronic or mechanical engineering discipline with NVQ/SVQ level 3 or equivalent. To support your application please attach a copy of your certificate as proof of completing a recognised apprenticeship together with your CV.
* Understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic principles and operation.
* Basic IT literacy and an ability to process work orders and pull reports from a Computerised Maintenance Management System.
* Understanding of local and regional health and safety standards and regulations.
The role requires shift work in 12-hour shifts. You will be expected to work on a rotating pattern covering days and nights.
