Role Overview:
As a PR Officer, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining our company's positive image, particularly among Chinese-speaking audiences and stakeholders. You will be responsible for developing effective communication strategies that engage our target market, managing our media presence, and supporting community outreach to ensure that our services resonate with Chinese overseas students and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
•Build and maintain relationships with both UK-based and Chinese media outlets and key stakeholders to promote our services
•Create engaging and culturally relevant content, including social media updates that highlight our services and success stories in student housing
•Enhance the company’s brand visibility and reputation among Chinese students, families, and other key partners
•Plan and execute events such as webinars, information sessions, and cultural exchanges that support Chinese students in transitioning to life in the UK
•Lead efforts to engage with student communities and alumni networks, strengthening relationships through initiatives that help students adapt to British culture and lifestyle
•Track media coverage, and monitor trends in the student housing market, using these insights to refine PR strategies
Requirements:
•Good in both Mandarin Chinese and English (written and spoken)
•Experience in PR, media relations, or business management is preferrable
•Strong writing and storytelling skills with the ability to tailor content for diverse audiences
•Excellent interpersonal skills, with a proactive and diplomatic approach to handling media and stakeholder relationships
•Cultural sensitivity and a strong understanding of the needs of Chinese overseas students
