The SEMH Teacher will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing lessons to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs within a mainstream secondary school in Burnley. They will create a supportive and inclusive learning environment, adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs, and collaborate with support staff to ensure student progress.
Responsibilities:

Minimum Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
* Minimum of 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with students with SEMH needs
* Strong understanding of SEN (Special Educational Needs) policies and procedures
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to differentiate instruction based on student needs
* Strong behaviour management skills
* Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs
* Training in de-escalation techniques
The SEMH Teacher will work in a school setting, collaborating with other educators and support staff. The role may involve dealing with challenging behaviour and adapting teaching strategies to meet individual student needs.
