About this role:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our busy, friendly kitchen, which also supports a vibrant theatre and events space. You will play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen staff by keeping the kitchen clean, organised and fully stocked. This position is perfect for those looking to gain experience in the culinary field within a dynamic restaurant and events setting.

Key Responsibilities:
* Safe operation of the dishwasher and the porter areas in all kitchens.
* Support chefs during busy service periods by providing assistance as needed.
* Efficient and safe storage of all clean equipment within the kitchens and in store rooms.
* Ensure cleanliness of all food storage, refrigeration and preparation areas in conjunction with the kitchen cleaning rota and health and safety regulations.
* Ensure operational areas are properly prepared and stocked for all services and functions.
* Assist with receiving and storing of deliveries, stock rotation, in line with procedures.
* Responsible for correct storage of food prepared in allocated refrigeration areas, to include covering, labelling the produce and stock rotation.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
