The role of Student Adviser (mental health & autism) requires working one to one with students with mental health needs and disabilities. The post holder should:
- have experience working one to one with students
- have knowledge and experience assessing mental health needs and deciding on interventions
- have experience assessing and managing mental health risk
- have experience working collaboratively with services and making referrals to ensure effective support
- have knowledge of the equality act 2010
- have knowledge around the impact of disabilities in higher education
- have experience making reasonable adjustments for students
Although the role is generally 100 percent on campus, there may be occasional opportunities for hybrid working for specific activities.
