Shift Supervisor (HGV/PSV Engineers)
Package: £49,200 BASIC SALARY + OVERTIME
THIS POSITION HAS HIGHER EARNINGS POTENTIAL.
Schedule: Week 1: 6:00-14:30
Week 2: 14:00-22:30
PSV/HGV Mechanic
Package: £44,000 BASIC SALARY + OVERTIME

I have included the full job description below for the PSV/HGV Mechanic role. This role also applies for the Shift Supervisor. The Shift Supervisor role will include some office work, including meetings and some administrative work.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform diagnostic tests and inspections on buses, coaches, and heavy goods vehicles for our growing fleet and retail business.
2. Carry out repairs and maintenance on various mechanical and electrical components, including engines, brakes, and transmission.
3. Carry out pre-MOT inspections to meet DVSA standards.
4. Ensure that vehicles meet safety regulations and standards.
5. Conduct routine servicing and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
6. Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including parts used and time taken.
7. Assist with emergency breakdowns and ensure timely repairs to get vehicles back on the road.
8. Work closely with the rest of the team to ensure vehicle reliability and quality control.
9. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and new technology in bus and coach maintenance.
10. Able to work independently and as part of a team; able to perform on-road repairs.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably with buses/coaches/HGV.
2. A relevant qualification in mechanical engineering or a similar field (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds).
3. Strong understanding of vehicle systems, including engines, suspension, braking, and electrical systems.
4. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
5. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
6. A full, clean driving license (preferred but not essential).
7. A commitment to health and safety standards.
