Operational Risk & Governance Specialist - Distribution
National salary: circa £50,000 DOE
London salary: circa £65,000 DOE
We have an exciting new opportunity in our Distribution Risk & Governance team for an Operational Risk & Governance Specialist with experience working in the UK broker market. If that sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!
A bit about the role:
The key purposes of this role will be to provide Risk, Governance and Regulatory Compliance expertise balanced with Operational and Customer needs whilst ensuring Distribution controls are operating effectively with robust testing and recommending/monitoring corrective action where necessary. You will be using insight work across Distribution E2E to identify systemic issues and drive improvements through constructive challenge and expert support. There will be a particular focus on Conduct Reporting in this role.
In this role you will conduct control testing, and act as a nominee, managing control records, monitoring actions, and supporting Owners to manage Risk Events to closure. You will call out any concerns or issues that may impact the Distribution control framework and/or delivery of objectives so will need to be a confident communicator. You will be writing and communicating effective reporting as required and be a referral point for regulatory related issues and maintain regulatory awareness.
Skills and experience we're looking for:
* Experience in Insight analysis and reporting.
* Knowledge/experience of Consumer Duty regulation.
* Understanding of Risk Management Framework and knowledge of Non-life Insurance market and regulatory framework.
* Knowledge/experience in distribution/commercial lines is desirable.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills at all levels.

* National salary: circa £50,000, London salary: circa £70,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
