Catering Assistant
Our award-winning school meals have never tasted better and we are proud to offer pupils across the borough a great range of delicious, healthy meals, using locally sourced, high-quality ingredients.
We are looking for a Catering Assistant to join our friendly and supportive catering team at various schools across the Solihull borough and on occasions Coventry.
Salary: £22,366 - £22,737 pro rata, per annum
Hours: Working 16 hours a week, Monday - Friday, Term Time only.
This role could be ideal to fit in around your caring responsibilities. You will assist with serving our healthy award-winning meals, made from locally sourced, high-quality ingredients, whilst ensuring levels of hygiene are maintained within the kitchen. Your duties will include:
1. Basic food preparation
2. Preparing counters and the dining room for service
3. Operating the cashless till system
4. Cleaning duties
Qualifications: You will need a Level 2 Food Safety qualification or be willing to complete and pass it within your first 12 months of service. Experience in delivering excellent customer service and working as part of a team is essential. Good communication skills, enthusiasm, and self-motivation are also required to ensure we continue to deliver our catering service to the high standards we are proud to have achieved.
