Who we need?
Areas of Expertise: Fabrication Welding and Sheet Metalwork
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and write schemes of work and lesson plans that meet curriculum requirements and industry standards.
2. Deliver high-quality, engaging lectures and practical sessions to promote active learning.
3. Challenge inappropriate behaviours, monitor attendance effectively, and provide support for student success.
4. Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback for academic growth.
5. Mentor students through projects, helping them achieve learning objectives.
6. Collaborate with colleagues to improve curriculum and share best practices.
7. Engage with industry professionals to enhance learning through guest lectures, site visits and partnerships.
8. Manage classroom resources and maintain a safe, effective learning environment.
9. Participate in professional development to enhance teaching and technical skills.

Qualifications:
1. Minimum Level 5 qualification in Engineering Education (Fabrication Welding & Sheet Metalwork) or willingness to complete training.
2. Proven experience in teaching or training engineering.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire students.
4. Proactive, innovative approach to teaching and continuous improvement.
5. Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
6. Ability to work independently and in a team.
7. Proficient in using educational technology to enhance learning.
Preferred Skills:
1. Experience in curriculum development and instructional design.
2. Knowledge of Fabrication Welding and Sheet Metal Work.
3. Awareness of trends and future directions in engineering education.
4. Ability to engage diverse students and adapt teaching methods to various learning needs.
