Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
An average week for an apprentice may include:
* Picking the items for orders from customers to be ready to load onto the vans for deliveries
* Daily counts of items to help ensure accuracy of the stock levels
* Loading and unloading deliveries of items that the company receives from suppliers and onto delivery vans
* Any returns that the company receives from deliveries that day, to be checked and booked back into stock
* Monitoring stock levels
* General housekeeping

Your training plan
Your training will take place at your normal place of work during your normal working hours. You will be given 6 hours each week to carry out Off the Job training towards the apprenticeship. This will consist of online work, and meetings with your Training Specialist both in person and also via Teams meetings.
