Meter Reader (Fixed-term 2 years)
The Meter Reader is responsible for ensuring continued data integrity relating to NIW’s metering stock, collecting, recording and updating information relating to the meters including reads, changes to meter details, reasons for skipped reads and raising follow on maintenance requests. This role is paramount to the achievement of our DG8 regulatory target of providing at least 99% of our customers with one or more bills based on a company or customer meter reading over the financial year.

Applicants MUST be able to demonstrate in their application and where necessary at interview:
1. A minimum 2 GCSE’s in English & Maths or equivalent at Grade C or above.
2. A minimum of 2 years working experience in a customer facing environment.
3. Two years experience of using computer applications such as Microsoft Office Software Suite.
4. A working knowledge of reading customer meters and the ability to identify various meter types, manufacturers etc.
5. The ability to interpret basic technical drawings/knowledge of mapping systems.
6. A current valid driving license to enable you to fulfil your responsibilities
Desirable Criteria
1. Two years experience working in a Utility environment

Salary
Class I - Base salary: £28,084.15 per annum*
This payment is made up of a consolidated value of £23,271.55 and a non-consolidated value of £4,812.60 per annum.
*Overtime rates are based on the consolidated value only.
