Architectural Technician – Residential Developer
Up to £54,000 (Depending on Experience) + Car Allowance, Pension, Bonus

They are involved in land acquisition, finance, planning, architecture, design, build management, marketing and customer service. Our client is designed, built and marketed by local teams operating from regional offices managed and staffed by local people. This allows the company to take key decisions about design, build, materials, planning and marketing in response to local demands.
About the Role:
As an Architectural Technician, you’ll be a vital part of our design and technical team—translating concepts into detailed drawings, coordinating with consultants, and ensuring buildability without compromising on our signature style and standards.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed working drawings, construction packs, and specifications for residential housing projects

Ensure compliance with building regulations, NHBC standards, and internal design codes
*
Collaborate closely with planning, engineering, and construction teams to deliver coordinated design solutions
*
Manage and amend house type portfolios, site layout plans, and technical documentation
*
Resolve technical issues and assist with value engineering without losing design integrity
*
Support planning applications with design-led technical input
About the Benefits and Reward:
The salary will be dependent on the level of exposure to the residential industry. The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary in the region of up to £54k DOE. In addition to the basic salary there will be further company benefits including car allowance, bonus, private medical cover and enhanced pension.
Candidate Requirements:

HNC/HND or degree in Architectural Technology or similar
*
Proficient in AutoCAD (Revit experience a plus, but not essential)
*
Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations, construction methods, and residential design standards
*
At least 4 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the housebuilding sector
*
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and a collaborative approach
*
A passion for traditional architecture and quality residential design
