We are looking for a physiotherapist with experience working in an MSK setting, who can demonstrate they have gained significant knowledge and skill in the assessment and management of patients presenting with a wide range of MSK conditions and who has developed a special interest in the management of common hand and wrist conditions.
Ideally, you will have attained your BAHT I and preferably attended and passed one further BAHT II course or worked with a dedicated Hand Therapist.
Part-time hours are available, with hours split between general MSK and Hand Therapy.
You will be a strong team player with excellent communication and health coaching skills. You will be involved in the delivery and development of pathways and will support the development of junior staff and students. You will embrace innovation and integrated working and will be committed to following best practices to ensure patient-centered care. You will be actively involved in service development and will need to work on your own initiative as well as being responsible for the development of junior staff.
Please note you will be expected to work across North East Essex community to meet the needs of the service.
Main duties of the job
To work as part of the integrated team to deliver therapeutic input to patients in a clinic setting with the aim of returning them to maximum independent living, within a stimulating environment actively promoting self-management on all activities of daily living.
Working as an autonomous practitioner, you will provide specialist input to all patients that fall within your specialist field of expertise including Hand Therapy.
Work with colleagues across health, social care, mental health, and the voluntary sector to ensure holistic and joined-up delivery of care.
Empower patients to make decisions about their own care and encourage them to exercise their rights and choices, signposting them to relevant community and voluntary services and supporting patients' carers and assistants with the management of risk.
Manage the work of junior staff, assistants, students, and volunteers in your professional area.

Person Specification
Experience
* Proven experience working within the relevant care group
* Competencies relevant to specialization
* Experience of managing the work of others
Qualifications
* Registered physiotherapist with HCPC
* Professional knowledge and skills acquired through a combination of formal training, short courses, and experience to degree level or equivalent
* Relevant post-qualification training through short courses and/or further study and experience, for example, splinting and injections, working towards post-graduate level of study
* Evidence of ongoing CPD
* Registered member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
* Recognized registered qualification and further courses and experience relevant to the role
Knowledge
* Good theoretical and practical knowledge of a broad range of assessments including specialist relevant to the specialist care group and the relative benefits of each
