If you have been out of practice for longer than 2 years, you will need to register with NHS England on their Return to Practice Programme before commencing on a placement. Please see supporting information on how to do this.
We can then offer you a range of flexible clinical placements, enabling you to complete the required practice hours in the following professions:
1. Art Therapists
2. Podiatrists
3. Dietitians
4. Occupational therapists
5. Paramedics
6. Physiotherapists
7. Speech and language therapists
These placements will be via an honorary contract (unpaid). Various hours available (full time, part time, flexible working). For further information please make contact via the details on the advert.
Main duties of the job
Your daywill vary depending on which AHP profession and service you undertake yourplacement. However, you can expect to beinvolved in delivering clinical/therapeutic care with a patient group/caseload.
You mayhave to drive across the county if you choose a community setting, as well asprovide telephone or virtual calls to patients.If you are working on one of our mental health or community hospitalwards, you will be supporting the multi-disciplinary team in delivering highquality care to patients.
You willneed to be flexible and adapt to changes as the day can be varied. As part of your placement, you will beinvolved in seeing patients and undertaking assessments and intervention withsupport. You may be required to liaise with family members as a part of thetherapy/interventions you are providing.If you are working in a clinic it will be varied with a range ofconditions that will require you provide an assessment and treatment plan withsupport.
