If so, GSL Education are seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to join schools in Eastleigh, Hampshire. This role is ideal for individuals looking to work closely with students who require behavioural and emotional support to thrive in their education.
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and structured learning environment. You will assist students in managing their behaviour, developing social skills, and improving their confidence.

Responsibilities of a Behaviour Support Assistant:
1. Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students with behavioural needs.
2. Assist in implementing behaviour management strategies tailored to individual students.
3. Promote a positive and structured learning environment.
4. Support students in developing coping mechanisms and social skills.
5. Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to encourage engagement.
6. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
7. Previous experience working in a school or educational setting as a Behaviour Support Assistant is desirable.
8. A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education, Psychology, or a similar field. Also, university students are encouraged to apply.
9. Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
10. A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to behaviour support.
11. An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
