Salary: Starting at £24,224.20 with a review after successful completion of training and sign off
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Monday - Thursday: 06:00 – 14:15; Friday: 06:00 – 14:00
Please note: during your training period, you will be required to work the standard day shift hours Monday - Thursday 08:30 - 17:00 and Friday 08:30 - 15:30.
Purpose of role:
Reporting to the SMT Supervisor, as SMT Operator, you will assist in the manufacture of a wide range of electronic assemblies within the Surface Mount Department.
Key duties include, but are not limited to:
1. Running a Surface Mount line to production schedule
2. Surface mount assembly of printed circuit boards (PCB’s), including pasting, printing and loading pick and place machines.
3. Inspection prior and post reflow
4. Interpret documentation including parts lists, drawings
5. Follow documented procedures.
6. Preventative maintenance tasks and general housekeeping of the SMT work area.
7. Ensure all work carried out is completed to specified levels of acceptable workmanship.
8. Ensure all work is carried out and completed in a timely fashion.
9. Report any problems with products or process to the SMT production supervisor or production manager.
10. Adhere to the Health and Safety requirements and regulations
11. Adhere to the Company IT and Data policy
12. Comply with the statutory requirements and regulations and Company requirements
13. Carry out any other reasonable request which is for the benefit of the business
14. Assist in the training of team members ensuring best practice standards are maintained
Qualifications:
1. Educated to at least GCSE standard or equivalent
2. Previous experience in a similar Manufacturing/Production role
3. Use of fine tools and microscopes would be advantageous
4. Any form of electronics qualification, desirable
