Overview
We are seeking a senior Brand Strategist with strong experience working on brands from various categories. The role will focus on developing and leading end-to-end creative strategy for many of our brand partnerships. You will be joining a newly assembled team who have been tasked with building bigger, better and more long-term brand partnerships, for which strategy has been identified as an integral component. Within this team is a Strategy Lead, who this role will work closely with.
The successful candidate will have deep experience building and implementing a strategic approach with partners, and owning creative strategy from research to audience insight to brief development through to execution.
You will help develop creative campaigns for major partnerships with global/regional brands as well as top creative/media/partnership agencies, across a variety of product categories in support of our client’s content releases and its platform. You’ll work with the Brand Partnerships team to explore potential partner programs for 2026 (& beyond).
Key Responsibilities:
* Identifying and setting the strategic vision for key brand partnerships
* Identifying brands that might be a good fit for the brand and/or key client titles
* Extracting insights from partners and internal marketing teams to develop and steer the strategic & creative vision from beginning through to execution
* Writing strategy briefs and building foundational concepts that reflect the strategic intersection between the brand and the title
* Providing guidance and feedback to partner creative agencies and brands
* Work closely with internal creative groups as well as external agency partners
* Translating our brand/marketing requirements into ideas the partner and ultimately consumer easily understands
* Drive successful integration of broader creative content and brand initiatives and our strategic partners
* Collaboration with cross-functional teams including Creative Marketing, Editorial & Publishing, Content, Creative Production, and Public Relations
Essential Experience:
* 8+ years of experience as a brand strategist/consultant or similarly strategic role (can be at a brand or creative agency)
* Believe in the power of strategy to help unlock great creative thinking and solutions
* Passionate and curious about marketing, brands, and entertainment
* Have key, demonstrable experience leading and driving creative strategy with notable brands
* Strong experience in brand and/or consumer marketing
* Demonstrated ability to leverage research, insights, and analytics to inform creative strategy
* Strong input on strategy and a clear POV on creative work
* Confident presentation skills and excellent communication skills
* Experience and palpable passion for building great content marketing programs that are unique and scalable
* Demonstrated ability to prioritize and drive results
