Maintenance Supervisor
Hours per week: 40 hours, though a reasonable amount of overtime will be expected as required by the business. The hours will require a degree of flexibility.
Job purpose: To ensure emergency and planned engineering tasks are fully documented and records kept. Allocation of internal labour including production staff where required. Upkeep of CMMS system, including stock control and obsolescence, while ensuring continuity of our production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Adhere to, promote, and improve upon health and safety standards
* Lead daily Level 1 meetings and attend L2 meetings as required, ensuring the L1 and 2 actions are up to date
* Responsible for emergency and planned events scheduling
* Maintain asset register and populate CMMS
* Provide feedback on RFM’s
* Work with HR to complete first line investigations and disciplinary hearings, time and attendance system, complete RTW interviews, inductions, and training
* Produce and report on agreed KPI’s ensuring these are achieved
* Assist the Manager in leading the department creating a positive working environment where individuals feel engaged and valued
* Challenge the “Status Quo” and look at new initiatives for adding value
* Create and maintain the stock list, ensuring stock levels are correct and accurate
* Populate and maintain order spreadsheet for accounts tracking
* Ensure all work requests are logged and closed out, helping focus on high risk assets, by building accurate data
* Maintain equipment as required
Assist in the following:
* Preventative and/or reactive maintenance of plant and equipment
* Finding and fixing faults or arranging for replacement parts to be installed
* Maintaining manufacturing, ancillary and support processes
* Providing support and recommendations to operations teams and the wider organisation as required
* Liaising with various departments within the business as required
* Providing a prompt and valuable service
* Cover team duties as required
* Understand how own role and KPI’s impact on organisation and department objectives
* Support manager to deliver the above
* Must have a flexible approach to working patterns
Skills/Qualifications:
* Previous experience of a busy production environment is essential
* Must be willing to undertake additional training to expand knowledge base and develop your skills in line with organisational requirements.
* Good communication skills are essential for working with colleagues from other areas of the business
* Proficient in the use of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Email
