Hours: Full time 37.5 hours Monday to Friday, with on-call and weekend requirements

We are currently recruiting for an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist covering Critical Care / Medicine at The Harborne Hospital, part of the World’s largest private healthcare group; providing award-winning primary, acute and complex care.
About the facility:
The Harborne Hospital - part of HCA Healthcare UK is a brand new £100 million, purpose-built 50 bed, multi-speciality private hospital which newly opened January 2024. Located on the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham campus, the hospital will have the deep clinical infrastructure, equipment and facilities and expert, experienced teams to deliver full clinical pathways across a mix of specialties and sub-specialties at all levels of complexity including Cardiology, Cancer and Complex Surgery including robotics with the latest Da Vinci XI. The Harborne Hospital is the 4th NHS partnership within this network, partnering with University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust.
HCA has an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at The Harborne Hospital. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who displays positivity within a team to lead the provision and development of a high-level, responsive clinical pharmacy service to Medical Wards and Critical Care.
The successful candidate will be confident, with clear communication and a real focus on providing outstanding customer service. They will be versatile and flexible, happy to work across various roles and tasks to ensure the smooth running of the department. They will also be able to adhere to processes and protocols and have the ability to prioritize workload in order to meet the department objectives.
This role will involve working in services such as Surgical, Medical and Critical Care.
What you’ll bring:
1. Registered with GPhC
2. Specialist knowledge in Critical Care/Medical/Surgical
3. Specialist knowledge in antimicrobials
4. Relevant hospital pharmacy experience
5. Relevant experience within specialist area/s
6. Post graduate diploma/masters in clinical pharmacy or equivalent
7. Knowledge of Health and Safety; ICAA knowledge is desirable
8. Meditech knowledge is desirable
