About the Role:We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Technician to join a dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and report daily sales and orders.
* Process accounts payable and authorised invoices.
* Handle authorised expenses and cash expenses.
* Process resale invoices.
* Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
* Prepare and distribute liquidity reports.
* Maintain the fixed asset register, including capitalisation of plant and equipment.
* Assist with the submission of VAT returns.
* Support month-end processes, including currency, accruals, prepayment, and depreciation journals.
* Assist with external audits by providing necessary documentation.
* Manage the company car fleet and stationery supplies.
* Provide cover for credit control as needed.
* Ensure good housekeeping and adherence to health and safety policies.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
2. AAT Level 2 completed, with progression towards Level 3 or 4.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
4. Experience with SAP is preferred.
5. Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
