Are you a Registered Nurse or Midwife seeking a new opportunity within a dynamic and forward-thinking team?
We are looking for a Public Health Staff Nurse to join our newly integrated 0-19 Children’s and Young People’s Public Health Service. This exciting new service brings together Health Visiting, School Health Nursing, and the Family Nurse Partnership to deliver the Healthy Child Programme (HCP). Our aim is to provide innovative, high-quality care to support children, young people, and families in thriving.
As a Public Health Staff Nurse, you will work with children aged 0-8 years, supporting those with identified concerns or vulnerabilities. You will deliver health-related interventions, covering areas such as behaviour, diet, sleep, and school readiness.
Main duties of the job
The responsibilities of the role include:
* Delivering community-based health promotion activities.
* Conducting developmental and transitional health assessments as part of the Healthy Child Programme.
* Working closely with SCPHN Health Visitors, School Health Nurses, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.
* Contributing to safeguarding processes, including Early Help assessments and Team Around the Family (TAF) meetings.
* Engaging with families, schools, primary care teams, and statutory/voluntary agencies to improve public health outcomes.
