Student Support Administrator
College location: John Ruskin College (Selsdon) and East Surrey College (Redhill)
Salary: £23,848.99 pro-rated (Subject to skills, experience and qualifications)
Hours: Term-time Only, 38 weeks (37 hours/week 08:45-17:00 Monday - Friday)
We are currently seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Student Support Administrator to work in our Additional Learning Support department to provide effective allocation and administration.
Working closely with the ALS team, you will organise the day-to-day running of the department and be involved in a variety of tasks. You will assist in the coordination of access arrangements for students, support with ALS activities, and EHCP coordination and reviews whilst ensuring accurate records are kept on all students that receive additional support.
This role will involve working with students with a variety of support needs, including those with emotional and behavioral needs, learning difficulties, and those who have disengaged from mainstream education.
The successful candidate must have:
* Level 2 qualifications and skills in Maths, English or a willingness to gain these in the first year of accepting this post.
* Previous administrative experience.
* A knowledge and understanding of issues associated with developing and providing support to students/young people with additional needs would be desirable.
* Proven experience of dealing with behavioral issues and having the resilience required to deal with these challenging situations effectively.
* Excellent communication skills to liaise professionally with internal and external organisations.
* Confident in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
