Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership is undergoing major transformational change to strengthen and redesign its home-based rehabilitation services. This includes the design and implementation of a new Enhanced Rehabilitation Services to augment the existing community rehabilitation pathways. This ambitious service-design will see the type of rehabilitation that has historically and more commonly been provided in an inpatient setting being provided in a home-based environment.
We are seeking an exceptional clinical leader who shares our ambition to improve the health and wellbeing of the people of Edinburgh. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced, dynamic and forward-thinking Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy clinical expert in rehabilitation to support the Partnership’s strategic priority of maximising the independence of the people of Edinburgh. You will work with operational and professional leads, clinical teams and partners and as a team player, will be committed to working collaboratively to provide the highest standard of quality and sustainable care now and for the future.
Significant clinical experience and experience of leading transformational change within the health and social care sector will be required to develop and deliver this ambitious service redesign to ensure patient safety and provide high quality service delivery. The scope of this clinical role is very broad, reaching across all aspects of the health and social care complex system and the postholder will be required to work across the complex integration landscape in EHSCP working across integrated pathways of care, shifting the balance of care from acute to community.
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy leading to registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) with a relevant clinical Post Graduate Master’s degree or recognised, specialist clinical skills training relevant to rehabilitation.
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
