We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead a significant construction and digital transformation initiative. This pivotal role involves overseeing the establishment of cleanrooms and laboratories within a new facility, coordinating operational readiness, managing recruitment planning, and integrating digital systems into our workflows.
The Project Manager will act as the central point of accountability, ensuring seamless coordination across all workstreams and stakeholders. This role is suited towards Project or Programme Managers with capital projects experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination and Leadership:
* Serve as the primary internal project/program manager, linking construction, recruitment, health & safety, operational readiness, and digital transformation efforts.
* Work closely with external consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project milestones are met.
Construction Oversight:
* Liaise with architectural design consultancies and construction management consultants to ensure project design and execution align with organizational needs.
* Manage construction timelines, budgets, and resources while ensuring compliance with GMP standards and health & safety regulations.
Digital Transformation:
* Coordinate the implementation of new digital systems integral to facility operations (e.g., asset tracking, electronic workflows).
* Ensure readiness of digital tools to support the operational infrastructure and facility validation processes.
Operational Readiness:
* Plan and execute the transition of operations to the new facility, including the decommissioning of existing sites.
* Monitor recruitment efforts to align workforce capabilities with the new facility's requirements.
* Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to ensure no disruptions to production capacity during the move.
Governance and Reporting:
* Establish and maintain a PMO framework for tracking progress across multiple workstreams.
* Develop comprehensive project plans, risk registers, and contingency strategies.
* Provide regular updates to senior leadership, highlighting project status, risks, and mitigation plans.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
* Proven track record managing complex, multi-faceted projects, preferably in construction and digital transformation.
* Background in GMP-regulated environments is highly desirable.
* Experience with cleanroom and laboratory construction projects is an advantage.
* Strong understanding of health & safety regulations, especially in a construction context.
* Knowledge of digital systems integration within operational settings.
* Familiarity with recruitment planning and operational readiness for large-scale projects.
* Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and interdependencies.
* Strong interpersonal skills to lead cross-functional teams and manage external stakeholders.
