Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. 1st or 2nd class Honours degree in physics or a relevant subject
2. Accredited MSc or relevant higher degree
3. HCPC registration as a Clinical Scientist
Experience / Knowledge
Essential criteria
1. Specialist knowledge of radiation physics and radiation protection
2. Specialist knowledge of diagnostic imaging (X-ray, ultrasound etc)
3. Specialist knowledge of the risks posed by ionising and non-ionising radiation.
4. Experience and Knowledge of Mammography Physics
5. Knowledge and Experience of NHSBSP
Skills and Attributes
Essential criteria
1. Able to communicate highly complex information to non-specialists at all levels including senior management, consultant medical staff, radiographers, nurses, medical physicists and technicians
2. Evidence given of the ability to analyse complex data from the results of surveys etc, and recommend solutions to any problems encountered
3. Able to travel between sites with heavy equipment
4. Evidence given demonstrating the ability to train and supervise staff
5. Evidence given of ability to present scientific information (e.g. posters, presentations or publications)
